Each phase (teleharmonium\, Hammond\, Musi que Concrète\, mono &\; polyphonic synthesizers…) has had a visionary t hat had a ‘foot in both camps’ and the drive to make something not heard b efore. With the commoditisation of synthesizers in the last 40 years modul ar synthesisers have been rediscovered as one way to keep making things th at have never been heard before\, as shown by the huge range of modules av ailable today. Even so\, the individual creativity still burns today\, wit h different ways to interact with music creation\, experience it and share it. This desire necessitates experimentation and building prototypes\, an d a healthy DIY scene. This is why we are holding a synthesizer DIY event in Tallinn - a city renowned for its technical creativity - so we may even witness the next Stockhausen\, Moog or Ciani.
