The number of participants is limited to 6. The participants are selected
upon a description of their composition in progress they want to address d
uring the practical workshop. \nThe description can be in the form of conc
eption in text\, excerpts of the work in progress composition etc\nDuring
the practical workshop ensemble EMA will give feedback to the piece in wor
ks from performers perspective. We will also help to develop its sound des
ign\, help to plan technical solutions\, give feedback and advice in notat
ion. A simple practical reading session by the ensemble of the works in pr
ogress is also planned. The practical working sessions with composers are
open to observe by other participants of the workshop.\n \nDrawing on mate
rial created during a one-week residency at the ECCM\, the workshop will p
resent work-in-progress excerpts that offer insight into the evolution of
musical ideas. Through live demonstration and discussion\, participants wi
ll engage directly with the creative process through dialogue and exchang
e of perspectives on composition and artistic development.\n
